Protection and Conservation for Kushiro Wetland

<Description>
The initial conservation activity at Kushiro wetland was as habitat of Japanese Crane. The activity has been widely known eventually, and this area has been assigned as national bird sanctuay in 1958. Throughout the rise of environmental consern about 1970' Kushiro wetlnad itself began to be treated as the object to be conserved, and it happened to be nominated as the first wetland in Japan to be registered under the Ramsar convention. Eventually in 1987, the Kushiro wetland was registed as 28th national park in Japan, and various protection and consercvation activities has been taken place here.
