Farmland Reclamation around Wetland
|
Increase of Abandon Farmland
Reclamation has taken place even at the edge of wetland, but those area happened to be known that it is difficult to use as regular farmland due to the relatively high level of water content on the soil. Eventually, those has began to be abandoned due to the difficulties of cultivation and the high cost of manamgement.
The total area to be abandoned from 1975 to present reaches about 2,500 hectars. This fact raises questions whether we do have to keep reclamation or not. |
